When God Strips Away to Build Up
“My pursuit was to achieve financial success,” Larry reflects. “But God had to strip away my pride and greed to show me that my true calling was to help others discover theirs.”
Through battles with cancer, near bankruptcy, and the humbling loss of $millions during the 2008 financial crisis, Larry discovered that God uses our greatest trials to prepare us for our greatest Kingdom impact. What seemed like devastating losses became the foundation for his life’s true purpose.
From Corporate Success to Kingdom Calling
With an advanced degree in Counseling and Psychology, Larry spent three decades in corporate leadership, mentoring over 500 professionals for increasing productivity and profitability. Yet it was his personal failures—not his professional successes—that taught him the most about God’s redemptive purposes.
After losing most of his real estate empire, Larry experienced what he calls his “Significant Emotional Event”—a complete reorientation from personal gain to Kingdom impact. He discovered that every trial, every setback, and every season of his life had been preparation for his true calling.

Larry Raad is the quintessential “Come Back Kid”. In work, he was known to be skillful at evaluating an applicant’s personality and workplace potential. It was his insight and skill with people that propelled him to a top leader of Human Resources for a large corporation; a position he held until retirement. But Larry’s goal wasn’t retirement, just simply the end of another chapter in life. With nice savings and his retirement package, Larry entered the field of Real estate where he built a successful business, that is, until the market collapse of 2008. Larry lost millions in the business that year but instead of “quitting while he was ahead”, Larry began again to build his business. It was then that he envisioned a coaching system for training others for life’s abundance. Having been raised in a Christian home and learning the basic Biblical principles for increasing personal wealth, Larry set his heart on empowering others and decided to call his system, “The Power to Prosper”. Today Larry and his wife, Judy live on the beach, in the beautiful and exclusive town of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida.
